Hey Guys,
I currently have a PPI Ax400 powering my Focal Utopias in my front stage and I am really happy with the combination. My sub amp, an Orion HCCA 225G4, just died and I want to replace it with something that draws less current. My IDQ12 is a dual-2 ohm speaker, so I had it wired in parallel to put a 1-ohm load on the Orion at 400W RMS. The ID sub is 400W RMS.
I can get a PPI A300.2 at a pretty good price, and it will put out 300W x 1 RMS in mono at 4 ohms. I can wire my sub in series so that it is a 4-ohm load. Would this be a decent match to my IDQ12?
Thanks!
Bryan
