I'm using a Phantom PPI 900.4 rear channels bridged as a sub amp and I can't figure out how to set the filter switch for lowpass. The manual says hipass, lowpass, and bandpass but the switch is labeled HP, Full and BP. I'm getting midrange from the sub - how do I set it for LPF?

Thanks

I will trust you on what you read in the manual since I traded my P900.4 for a P1000.1 last year. I guess, you need to use BP for the LPF. This effectively forces you to have a subsonic filter. Set the HP end of the crossovers to the lowest setting. I believe, 20Hz is the lowest you can go on subsonic. This is one of shortcomings of this amplifier, but 20Hz subsonic filter shouldn't get on the way of most people IMHO. Alternatively, switch to full, and use the low pass crossover on the head unit if you have one.

Set it for band pass operation. Start with the high pass frequency control fully counter clock wise ( all the way down essentially) . For the low pass frequency control you can probably start in the middle of the range and slowly turn it counter clock wise ( while listening to music at a reasonable level) until you get the sound you want out of your sub. After you get the sound you want you may want to go back and up the high pass frequency pot just a touch as this control is essentially your subsonic filter
