thx for the awesome sig bro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I know many of you guys are saying the CTX's are better than the PPI's, but how do they fare when given more power than rated? I was planning on running a pair of the PPI's passive with 200w per side, but want to go with the ID's after the PPI's were discontinued. I'm thinking the ID's might not like that much power, since a lot of people comment on how efficient they are and little power they need to sound good. I know I can turn down the gain, but I was hoping to get the most from my amp. What do you guys think?

i have 210 to the mid and 105 to the tweets in my wifes minivan i sell them alot so yeah they take gobs of power man. in 1 cf sealed they have astonishing bass similar to a 200 watt 8" sub. in a deadened door on a midsize car they sound like a high end 6" subwoofer the tweeter has amazingly crisp clean sound.

but they are efficient enough to run on 100 -150 to both the tweet and mid combined using the x over

i was actually being sarcastic..

it sure would make everything a bit cheaper eh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif better for the economy too IMO lower priced volume sales would generate more business as well.

for that power i still say mbquart PVIotherwise be nice with the gain.
Those MB's are yucky man, the tweeters are shrill and harsh. MB's before Maxsonics did sound good but now days they just do not cut it as far as quality sound in concerned.

i thought about it but wasnt sure if they would let me or not ?
there's only one way to find out... If you say you're well within your boundaries, then why not?

Also, it would be nice if you didn't wh@re the forum with your biased suggestions of MB quart products. IMO, forums should be about members helping members, not dealers trying to persuade members just to make a buck.

they have an adjustment on the x0ver to prevent that. installing any component wrong will make them sound horrible. the only mbquart i have heard that was better was the old q series and signature series.

i meant forum rules i am not sure if they allow it or not?

i recommend products i dont sell all the time bro and i help anytime i possibly can as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but i understand what your saying and I am getting quite a bit better at it i think. if you think i am allowed to make a bunch of for sale threads in the classifieds according to forum rules i am all over that man lolz

I got my ID Ctx65cs in today!

I bought them off of woofersetc so they were authorized and I had to send them into repair. Only took one week.

They sent new crossovers, new tweeters, and grills. The mids are probably reconed as they were reading weird ohms before I sent them in but now are correct. The sticker on the back is sorta rough from when i had installed them.

But I gave them 150W RMS. Ended up messin up a crossover from user error. But I'd totally recommend them. Image Dynamics' customer service is great.
