powering two hd3 15's

That is not a valid question, it depends on the application, power, vehicle, cd player, battery power, guage wire everything is a factor, with 3000rms, the AQ Hd3 is hard to beat for the price, I would say the Atomic ApX 12, T3 audio TSNS, DD 9512 are all pretty D@MN Loud with 3k

Excuse the double post, I dont know how that happened, but you get the idea, Heres an idea, Give us the vehicle, space you have to use, power (amps), battery power, and what your looking for exactly, with a total cost in mind.

1000 is sufficient to get them loud. I played mine HD310 at 2000 watts and it took it like a champ. Look here... you've been on this forum trying to find a sub for 4 months. Every question you ask here, can be easily answered with a search. I know you would like to find the best sub for your buck, but you will only find subtle differences between the HD3's, TC3k's, Mojo's capability wise. I would suggest you get over your anxiety of buying and actually do it. Out of all your "choices" i think you will be happy with whatever you get.

edit: and for god's sake, after 4 months, instead of "researching" on what subwoofer to get, maybe you should learn some proper terms, how a woofer works and how to properly install one. Unless some one gives you accurate numbers with great installs, most of what people on here will say is subjective. Your looking at what people tell you and then disregard everything and start all over again. Are you sure your not grillman6000?

Why not just pull the trigger and buy the hd3's. I'm sure you'd probably be happy with em. If not, you can always resell em for not a lot less than you paid. Whatever loss you take would be worth it to have owned some supposedly sick subs.

edit: I've heard they can get very loud with little power, so for a pair I'd say anywhere from 800 W up to 5-6kW from what I've heard

with two hd315's your not gonna fully power them with a $450 budget... if i were you id go with either two 2500watt amps... ie. kicker 2500.1's, or one big amp, which i decided to do because it was alot cheaper than buying one 2500, then another one later... the goliath i bought puts out 5kw, and cost me about $300 less than 2 kicker 2500'1s would have.... lets just say i cant wait to get my subs...

the hd3's will take around 4-5kw daily...

they are well built and can take a beating...

for the price you want to get an amp for there really isn't a whole lot of breathing room in terms of selection...atleast if you want to get the most out of those subs...

Full potential at 4k-5k watts? Lets get this straight... 4-5k watts is a considerable amount even for competition grade systems. You almost make it sound like you wont be getting much from the sub at its RMS rating. Even achieving half of "the most out of those subs" will be sufficient and on the merge of being ear safe for any DD. With that much power its almost not even listening to music. 1000 watts and a proper sized enclosure will be enough to lose hearing because the HD3 is so efficient.
