Powering Speakers over 100 watts

dont get rid of the receiver, your still going to need a receiver or some sort of preamp source

whether or not spending $200 on an amp to power cheap mtx dj speakers is worth it is another story

the reason i say I can ditch the reciever is because i just picked it up from circuit city a couple days ago and can easily bring it back for a full refund (along with the two mtx speakers)... all i'm doing is trying to get the loudest/most bang I can get with 400 bucks... would you guys suggest a different approach? if you had 400 bucks maximum and wanted to get a loud party audio system, what would you do?
