Powering Speakers over 100 watts

well right now i'm not even running them at 100 watts rms each.... I have one Speaker on my 200watt peak power reviever, and when i turn it up louder, you can tell it is distorted... and i will be using the speakers for just partys, not dj specific things... any ideas on how to get them more power?

how do i hook up an amp on top of a reciver? to the reciver or straight to the speakers? where could i fine a nice (cheaper the better) amp to put out 150 watts rms to 2 channels?

How about this? What if I get rid of my reciever entirely and get a Pyramid PA1000X amp? Its rated at 175 watts rms x 2 into 8 ohms.... and my speakers are rated at 150 watts rms each.. so i'de be 25 watts over the ratings, but in my experience with car audio, it never hurts to go over a bit, only to go under... so does that amp look good? quality amp?

ya it should be reciever to amp to speakers, I dont know much about the DJ amps, I got interested in it for a little bit but never really into it. But if its like car audio I'd wouldn't go with Pyramid unless u absolutly had no money.
