I've got a friend with said subwoofer. He used to have a Power Acoustik BAMF2000-1d that died after a year of use, and he needs something with quality. Budget is under $400.

Sorry, I forgot to mention one of the most important details. It's a 2ohm, and will be wired at 1.

I had him looking at the AQ1200D, RE Audio's VLX 1DE, and MB Quart's ONX1.1000D. He's interested in the new Rockford T1000-1bdCP.

They only come in DVC.

There aren't any specifications about being stable at 1ohm. How would this be the best?

Definitely not my sub, but I'm trying to get him an amp that isn't as bad as the one he has now. And I'm sorry for using the word power. I just like verbs.

i would bet the mb quart 1500, always good to have extra power, its a 1000 rms sub, just be gentle with the gain and if he ever wants to upgrade he will have ht epower with the amp

I liked the MB Quarts, but I figured he would want to stay closer to the sub's RMS. Are they usually reliable?

i fried a 15" L7 with a t1500 wired at 2ohms (sub was d4) aka it was only getting around 1200 watts with all gains set properly no clipped signal proper custom box etc. Got a new one under warranty and sold it to my friend that ended up frying it with the same amount of power, etc. so just be careful with how much you're sending it.
