Does anyone know anything about this company or use their products. I know a year or two back they were making a push to get their name out but if fizzled after that. For some reason I thought they went out of business but their amps (the ASA line) looks nice and simple and was wondering if people have used them. Something cheap for the gf's car.

a lot of the stuff in my car is powerbass and i think they are pretty good. i have heard several cars with their stuff in them and have been impressed with them all. they have a product for any budget. their extreme line is very impressive.

my friend has the ASA-1000.1D on a powerbass 2xl 12" in his stratus and it sounds awesome. im just mentioning this because you mentioned the asa amps

any questions in perticular you have. i have experience with almost all of their products

I looked at some of the powerbass stuff and it was either nothing great or not a good bang for the buck, depending on the model. What kind of amp are you looking for? How much power/channels/what kind of car and what is the rest of the system comprised of?

if i could i would like to find a Monitor 1 amp but thats almost out of the question. I would like something that is 100x4 and the prices of the ASA amps are like 150$ for them. Now I know price usually is a good point to look at but considering I got my monitor 1 amps for 80$ and they are quite nice sounding, I'm always up to find those amps that fall through the cracks. I do really like the look of the ASA as its quite simple looking and looks pretty skinny. If i liked them enough for the gf's car I might think of trying them in mine to help bring down the number of amps. I hate to get rid of my Monitor 1's but I don't want to have 4 amps in the car for a frontstage and sub stage only.

Panasonic 4-channel is nice at around $100... also, Blaupunkt THA series are on closeout at some online stores. They both will do in the neighborhood of 75 - 100 watts rms at 4 ohms, and over 150/channel into 2 ohms.

If you want something a little better, MTX TA series are on closeout also...ta5604 is a 1,000 watt amp or close to it... ta7804 will do a little more. I think I saw one on ebay last week close to $160. Those look like best buys right now.

I have used 3 powerbass autosound amps: the asa400.2, 600.2, and 600.4. They are beautiful, great for show installs. they might barely do rated power, but I'm not 100% sold on that. Their sound is decent but not spectacular. If you can grab one for a good price, they're worth it

not too sold on Panasonic or Blaupunkt. I've used them before and wasn't impressed at all with their performance. MTX is decent but doesn't seem to have some good high attentuation. It might do well inthe GF's car but I was thinking of using one in my car to bring down the number of amps, but maybe with the new year I can get 07 model MB Quart amps and be ok for myself.

How could you compare pb to panasonic or blaupunkt. Powerbass or Powerbase is a good solid company that happens to have great entry level and high end products. I can attest to the quality of their subs and even low line coax speakers and components, I've never used the amps but if you search back a while you'll find that they are on par with higher end equipment.

We sell powerbass at our shop, I have been very impressed with there amps and speakers but not so much with there woofers. The XA series amps are better than the ASA, as for doing there rated power and then some, but all in all a good company, with either series i dont think you will be dissapointed. i run powerbass amps in my car now and will run them in my new setup...

I have an ASA600.4 and while it hasn't been installed, it looks down right sexy.

I got it on sale at sonicelectronix.com for 150 shipped.

An internal pic incase anyone is curious. looks pretty solid to me.
