Powerbass 1000w rms amp, and ohm load question

is this a decent amp to power my single 2ohmdvc type r @ 1 ohms? ive never heard of this brand.. not sure how it'll sound. I was pushing 600rms at 4 ohms before now going to 1000rms at 1ohms will i notice a huge difference in sound quality? also, will the low ohm load demand too much power from my stock battery/alternator? using 4 gauge wiring and 1 farad cap.

also for my type r i lost one of my wires that you can wire in the inside to parallel or series. could i just used a piece of speaker wire instead?

Either is decent. Both are good entry level gear.

Second one I can get used for $250.

I could also get a JL 500.1 for $300 used but id have to drive an hour to get it. I believe it does 500 rms 1.5-4ohms.

thinking the second one is the best option. 550 rms at 4 ohms, if i need to i could wire it at 1ohms with 1600 rms and set gain down. Would this amp have trouble running with my stock electrical though?

In my jeep wrangler that has a 90amp stock alt. It did fine with a audiopipe 1500d at 1500 rms. It wouldn't dim at all. But when I used a kenwood 9105d at 1500rms itwould dim bad so I suppose it depends on your amp

your type r is is dual 2 ohm voice coil.

yes so it can only be hooked up as 1ohm or 4 ohm.

what would demand more from my electrical? running at 4ohms pushing the amp to get max power or running at 1ohm with gain set very low? would there be a huge difference in sound?
