power wire ?

so ive got some tubes of neon that were in my car and now i wanna put give them a home application (like under my bed or in the closet). i bought a 12volt 1 amp ac adaptor and im going to wire them, but i dont have my dmm with me. i cannot remember is the power the black or the black with white.

touch the lead to your tongue if it zaps you then it is positive lol,

DUDE buy a DMM from walmart they are like 10-15 bucks and FOR CHRISTSAKES you have 90 days to return it. lol

If you are talking AC power White should be the pos

In most car alrectronics pos = solid and neg = striped.

But I would look at directions or w/e if you can find em.

thanks, ended up usning my neighbors. one tube worked the other didnt. so one is under the bed, looks pretty cool. ill probably end up taking it back with me to the dorm.

also used the dmm on a DD 3512 i just bought, the seller told me it was blown, but when i picked it up he said it might actuall work. so i put it up and the impedance reads around 2 ohms. so thats pretty good.
