Power wire in taurus?

Yeah, it's tough in a Taurus. I don't specifically remember what I've done in 2000+ models, but in pre-2000 Taurus' a grommet can sometimes be found high up above the fuse box under the driver's side dash. Otherwise, I most often use a blank grommet, low in the center of the firewall behind the engine. If you pull back on the carpet below the firewall in the middle of the vehicle you can remove the grommet, pierce it for wire, and replace it. It's not easy to get to, but it can be done if you know where to look. However, I don't know for certain that it exists in the 2000+ models.

I haven't done my install yet but I feel like I will run into the same problem on my Taurus. Can you let us know what you did to solve the problem when you do?

personally, i look at the firewall from both sides until i identify an area thats drillable... then i lean the seat all the way back, get in upside down and drill from the inside out... throw in a snap bushing and you're done.
