Power Wire Affects SQ?

Does power wire size affect sound quality? Stupid question I know but I'm trying to prove someone wrong.

If the power wire is inadequate it does. Running 10 gague wire to a large amp will destroy your SQ at high volumes, because the amp will starve (theoretically). So if you want sound (at any quality) at high volumes, the correct power wire would need to be used.

Well that's obvious. I was just generally trying to prove a point that it has nothing to do with sound quality if the proper sized wire is there.
