Power Wheels build

I've seen a couple threads of people posting Power Wheel builds and thought I'd share mine. There seems to be some interest in modifying these things so I'm hoping to get more ideas for my next one. This is my first attempt and I wanted to keep things simple. Feel free to post your builds here or link to your build thread.

Mods:

Sony CDX F5700 (40.00 ebay)

Boss 6.5 3 way coax ($17.00 Amazon specials)

LED fog/headlights

LED component board taillights

LED strip underbody lighting

concealed FM antenna

horn mod

custom gunmetal rims and disk brakes (painted)

5ah 12v AGM axillary battery

stock drive system

I wanted to keep the drive system stock and untouched for reliability. All the lighting and sound equipment was added to an axillary 5 amp hour AGM battery, fused and switched. This way if the car is left on, only the add on's die and the car is still drivable. The stock battery can still be charged by the stock charger but I also made adapters to be able to use a schumacher charger that I use for other things. If you are interested in seeing more of these types of modifications check out modifiedpowerwheels.com.

Thanks. I know the system isn't that great. I'm keeping my eye on ebay for some better 6.5 coaxials. I don't think I'm going to go much further on the Mustang than that. I'm going to use the next project to work on my FG skills.

fake speakers. thinking some kicker 6.5 woofers in a FG box would do nicely. anyone selling a set of JL 6's hit me up!

Sweet! Cant wait to do something like this for my son. He is only 1 right now, so in due time. Maybe even do one for my daughter who is 3, but she isnt into power wheels much as she has one at my rents house, but she never uses it, lol!

This makes me wanna do more underbody lights on the hummer
Looks like you have good output on the Hummer, plus the strobes are cool! What did you use for the underbody lights? Here are the LED strips I used, they are sizable as you can cut at every 3rd LED.

I was watching videos of that one the other day, nice job! I have seen custom systems in the Escalade but nothing like that, wow. I didn't know there was a class for kid cars. Do you have a build thread? I would be curious to see how everything fit in there, and what kind of batteries are you using? How long can it play? So many questions...

lulz shell be competing with dante and the best soon enough
Awesome bro !!! Its our only true Spl vehicle for now.

I hope the whoever goes up against her in her class can put up a 180.9 or better on the board. She is one of only about 4 vehicles in the world that can do it ...

Nuff said about this ... I did not mean to threadjack ... very sorry to the op ...

No build log that I know of ...

14.4 volt system (4 batteries) feeding 2 Linear Power 4.1hvs, 2 digital Designs 12s (not sure of the tuning freq, somewhere around 77 htz) ...

12 volt wheel chair battery feeding vehicle and head unit ...

30 sescond burst of 180 db ... but can play music all day long if hooked to an Astron. Normal drive time ?? not sure, thing weighs close to 700 lbs ...

the equipment / bracing is heavy ...
