power stays on.

when i have my remote wire huk up the power stay on. It used to turn off with the radio. need help. also have a yellow knob inside the amp. any one know what that is for.

check your power wire at the amp to see if any loose strands are making contact to the remote feed on the amps input terminal.

then check your remote lead with a dmm and see how much power is runing through.

pull out your head unit and check for any loose strands as well.

remote reads -11.98

remote at amp is 12.34

disconnect the remote lead coming out of your head unit. then measure the lead from the head unit. if it's still putting out 12v (which is way more than a head unit should even put out for a remote turn on) than your head unit is having a problem. if it's not, then check the remote again at the amp with the remote disconnected at the head unit. if the remote still reads 12v then your amp has something wrong with it. if you disconnect the head unit remote and the amp remote and test the wire. if the wire somehow still has 12v running thru it than you got a splice somewhere in the line that is allowing it to make contact with another 12v source which is causing your amp to stay on.
