Power Question

Hi, This weekend I just installed a new subwoofer, speakers and amp in my blazer. I am fairly new to installing car audio systems but everything went smoothly. The subwoofer I have works great but it has a feature in which it can illuminate but it does not work without 12 volt power and ground. Is it Ok to somehow pigtail off the 4 gauge power cable going to my amp? It seems that the LED's when illuminated use very little power so I really don't think I need to run an entire second cable back to my subwoofer. It looks like it would need a much smaller cable since all it has is a little red and a little black screw.

Is it Ok to use the same bolt that my amp is grounded to as well to ground the sub? If so how would I go about suppling power to the LED's. Is there a special cable or adapter I can buy?

Thank you!

That makes perfect sense. I guess I didn't think about the lights always being on if I ran it from the main power. I will give it a try.

Thanks a lot!!
