Hi all, I ordered a Pioneer 6000ub Head unit, it pushes 50wattx4

and Alpine SPR-17c Speakers. These are 100 RMS 300 Peak

There are 4 of them and they are coaxials.

I dont run any amps or subs.

was wondering if it work alright off of my head unit, i would really like to avoid buying an amp if at all possible. I dont need Perfect quality booming sound, but i do want it to sound good at a reasonable volume.

another question while im at it. I looked on my car and i cant find a single screw on my door panel. Its a 2002 Civic Lx Sedan. ( I know.... lame car, w/e though, it gets me to college and back, abd the millage is great lol)

Is it possible that its all clips? or are there hidden screws somewhere that im not looking.

Ignore any 'PEAK' or 'MAX' specs listed on ANY home or car audio equipment... they mean absolutely nothing.

That HU puts out 14W RMS per channel, not 50W. While this will work with your Alpine coax's, it really isn't going to provide for a whole lot of output. You can try it, but I bet you'll be shopping for an amp in about 30 seconds...

Thanks. So if i dont like it, and decide to get an amp, what kind would you recommend. I dont plan on ever adding a sub or anything else really. So what type of amp would provide sufficient power for the 4 coaxials but not burn a hole in my pocket.

IMO, running amplifier power to rear speakers is a total waste -- especially if you are on a tight budget. My advice would be to run the rear channels off the HU, and run on of these for the front coax set: http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=125&idproduct=382
If you really must have both fronts and rears amplified, then this would work: http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=125&idproduct=383

to the op...there should be 1 screw behind the inside door handle and one in the arm rest. also should be 3 around the factory speaker when you remove the speaker cover. the rest is held in by clips so just pull and then slid up and and back.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif
