Power problem

Hey guys, I just recently hooked up my system I have a Pioneer Deh-p6600 Radio with an MTX 1501D Amp and 2 12" Eclipse Aluminum DVC's. I used the 4 gauge Street Wires Amp kit. It works great, Problem is when it wants to work... The power of the amp cuts in and out, It isnt the amp because i have one of the same amps and i swapped them out and it does the same thing, Somtimes The system will go for 15 minutes and somtimes it will stay on for 2 seconds. Could some one please help me out!!!

Check your remote wire connections, check your grounds...I had a problem the other day that stumped me for a bit, one of my amps and my crossover stopped turning on and would come on at random times ...I checked all my connections and everything seemed to be ok...I suspected the remote circuit in the hu but it was actually one of the fuses in my distro block. the weird thing was it didn't look blown at all the metal strip inside was even intact so it took a while to figure it out. I've had those same fuses for about 7 years i guess they just get loose sometimes or maybe it was cause they are only 20 amp fuses and my amps are pulling more than that so over time it just went i guess it could also be from mechanical vibration but that is one other thing you could check

check your ground make sure its screwed to a good piece of metal like the seat brackets or the frame if you can get to it and if you have a fuse running from your power wire to your amp then check also were the wires connect to that i had problems with loose connections and also grounds

might be voltage drops too. You electrical system probably isnt up to par to power that amp with all of the voltage it needs.

It cant be that it is overheating, in the morning when its cold and im leaving it will do it. I am going to try the fuse for the amp kit and see how that turns out
