Power problem. Need assistance

Hello,

Need some advice. I have just finished installing a system in my truck and have one issue. When I power up the HU both my amps come on and as long as the radio is on, I get sound out of all the speakers. Problem I have is if I switch from FM to my Ipod, I loose the amps and all the speakers. Do I need to put a relay in? I already have one relay installed so that I can access the nav system with driving. Can I install another one or how do I fix this. I have the following components in the truck:

Clarion NX500

Alpine MRP F300 (running all four door speakers)

Alpine MRP M500 (running 2 SWE-1043 10" subs)

I have the door speakers wired to one amp and the 2 subs wired to the mono amp. Running 4gag wire from the bat to a dist block with 8gag to both the amps.

Hopefully this helps you all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think I know your problem bud, does it shut off the amps only on ipod or does it any time you change from FM tuner. Did you connect the remote wire for amps into the blue wire on the HU or the blue wire with a white strip because it sounds like you have it hooked into the power antenna (blue) which only gets power when the antennae needs to be used, such as the FM tuner

Hey. This is something I just realized. I have the blue wire hooked to the relay and tapped into that for the remote. I am pretty sure I do not have the blue/white wire connected. Will pull the HU out and have a look in a few minutes. Will let you know. Thanks for the confirmation of my stupidity.

Yup, that did it. Had the blue/white wire taped up with a couple others that I do not need. Thanks for the help. All is poundin' now.
