Power Loss at High Volumes

If possible, can someone offer some advice for me? I have an 07 Dodge Charger SRT-8. Pioneer Head unit, 2 Sundown Sa-12's. Brx-2000 Hifonics amp. When I increase the volume to higher levels, the subs lose significant power. Can someone offer any ideas? Thank you in advance for your help.

Have you checked your voltage? That kind of power without some kind of aftermarket electrical(big 3,AGM battery.) is bound to cause issues. You could very well be draining your voltage really low and thus losing a ton of power.

Thank you for the reply. I have not checked the voltage. I guess I was looking for that type of direction from someone. I have 0 gauge power and ground. I have a capacitor, but I know that's not helping. Stock alternator and single stock battery. Thanks again. I'll start with an electrical once over and go from there!

First off do the big 3, it should be done on every system. I'd toss the cap and get a 2nd battery, even a small kinetic HC600 would be enough for that.

Might also want to make sure your gain settings correct you could be getting a lot of distortion.
