lol never taught this thing would be worse than nicotine addiction

story: At college, installed a stupid system like all young dudes did. Most of them had fun for a week, blew the sh.t, and moved on. But I couldn't lol. On and off this hobby went on and now nearing 30 yo., I should just stop thinking, designing systems, watching insane walls at youtube.

I can't stand 3 days in a row without BASS. Family has a new bimmer and a pos 97 vw polo. Guess what I always choose polo because it has a type-r lol. Middle of the night, god knows where and I am testing stuff with 97 polo. Some random cop came at 05:33 a.m. and dude's look at me was amazing.

I guess only way to end this, is an insane big 'upgrade'. Problem is; where I live even Kicker is 'rare' and I had to leave space in hatch for my brother's stuff. Now system is zx1500.1 and type-r 10' ported.

First it was a old RE sr(300rms), switched to type-r. First 3 days: 'wow this is great' and then i got used to it. Designed better box & sound deadening & better amp and same story again: you get used to it.

Buy another 10' and kill the hatch space? so what, i will get used to it too. Or buy DD 10's (for insane prices) will get used to it probably (had a dd2512 in a trunk car)

Big step up - addiction fix project: I am planning to visit USA. Buy 3 15s (AB xfl most likely) a big amp, return to country, buy a small hatch car, wall that right behind my **** head and be done with it. Upgrading from 1 10' in hatch to that wall should fix addiction.. Or will it make worse LOL.

One thing I noticed from youtube: dudes with insane walls & insane powers demoing sit in their truck like it is a normal thing.. they are used to it and this is terrifying. I guess nothing will END this.

sorry for tldr.. basshead problems

Do the wall, youll get used to it in a few days, i just acclimated to my system. I guess the best cure is to actually get into the SQ side of car audio, hace the bass lowered and get amazing sounding mids and highs. Then when you cant take it anymore, crank up your system to get your fix and i swear, it will seem louder since you havent bump it in a few days.

Im on my second wall now. Had it for almost 3 months now and I'm bored again. Thinking about getting HDC4s and a Taramps 8k now lol.

But it is a never ending cycle. I keep reminding myself that it ***** having no bass at all and just be happy with that I have.

I'm at a point where it gets very expensive to upgrade. Space and time are my limiting factors.

I've got some Fi BTL N3 15's getting built right now, and I'm either getting a Shok 8.5k or Ampere audio 7500.1 (or 8.0 TFE) after I add at least one more alternator and a bunch of batteries.

will visit Las Vegas and I just found out Vegas is home of Fİ oh wow:crazy:

I remember when btl & bl & ssd were extremely popular on forums. It looks like they are still great. Hand built in Vegas? SMD forums mention Fi a lot. Some guy said ssd is way better than xfl others said xfl is stronger than BL etc. etc.

What are your take on Fİ? worth it? Option 1: I will buy a 10' (probably BL) ditch the type-r and and hope small hatch car & zx1500 & bl10' & big and efficient ported box will satisfy me

Option 2: Buy 3 15' (SSD most likely) crescendo 5500, a new car, wall it.

Whatever the plan curious about your thoughts on fi? versus type-r, xfl, sundown sa etc.

The issue you might run into with Fi is their build time which I often see horror stories about. I'd suggest you stick to something that can ship on time if you only have a narrow window to pick it up in the USA... otherwise you can't go too far wrong with Fi products.

I'd say go big or don't bother. Go for the wall, and I'd suggest using an even number of subs (giving you better options for amp(s) later). Pair of 18's or 15's, 4 12's, depending how much space you have. It'll be a lot easier/cheaper in the long run to use large box+port for efficiency saving on huge electrical upgrades and big unreliable amps.

I would love to have 2 18s.. hell even 1 18 in a tiny hatchback should be more than enough. (with good electrical&box) Sp4 looks nasty.. I've seen that in a lot of crazy builds.

Maybe pay before I arrive to Vegas? I really want 18s.. but can someone recommend me a suitcase that can hold 18s? LOL thanks
