I just bought 2 12" CVR with the 2 ohm voice coils. I was told the rf 325.1 was not powerful enough to push them. What would be a decent amp for these that would also be relatively cheap?

I was looking on ebay at the kicker zx400.1. that will run the subs at what kicker recomends and I really dont want to blow these like I did with my last set of mtx's. Any opinions would be great.

The ZX400.1 is going to output between 400 and 450w, depending on how much the individual amp in question is underrated.

Each one of those Kicker CompVRs wants up to 400w.

Not for a pair of them....each one by itself or a total of 800w give or take for two of them.

If you have the DVC 2 Ohm versions then you need to be looking for something in the neighborhood of 7-800w @ 2 Ohms to power them appropriately.

Is that level of output going to run you more than would a 400w amp?
