power is on but no boom

im trying to install a jbl px600.2 bridged, all the connections are good but nothing comes out of the sub. i tried the sub on another amp and it works fine. a friend just asked if i had to turn the sub on from the headunit but i hvent found where i can. The head unit is a Rockford Fosgate 9120g anyone have input? before you say it I'll check the ground again.

yo is the rca hooked up and is the speaker wire connect sub. and is the powe lite on on the amp.

the power is on,the rcas are plugged in at both ends, i was running wire through the box but i took the sub out and tested directly, still no go.

if everything is workin fine u can try 2 things

1. turn up hte bass boost a little bit to see whethe ru can hear some bass, maybe the amp is not powerful enough to move the subs, or ur gain is too low.

2. some hus have a "bass system" in their hus. meanin that when off, you dont hear much bass from ur subs. but when it's on, then u'll hear the subs.

check these 2 things n see wat happens.

turned it all the way both ways, played with all the switches. doesnt make any sense, it worked before. i have a power wire spliced into the power for this amp could this be a electrical "path of least resistance" problem. it was temporary till i get a dist.block tomorrow.

in my Rockford head theres a bass boost (they call PUNCH) i turn that on but still nothing. i havent found a sub on/off thing yet.

maybe u blew ur channels on ur amp?

maybe ur not bridging it right?

try that diffrent amp u tried with the same rcas that are hooked to ur deck if that dont work then it could be somthin be with the deck(subs maybe turned down)but i have no clue how this works on a rockford deck

heh, gonna feel stupid sayin this but it was wired for 8 ohms,i hadnt checked since i got it from a good source. but thanks for the help and kinda headin me in the right direction. btw, it pounds and makes me wonder what the structural integrity of my car is.
