Power Inputs came off board MTX 1501d

well mr. 10k poster...
my mtx 8100d did the same thing.

i just removed the power inputs cleaned off the board re saudered it, tested it, and sold it.

not my problem anymore. hehehe

The key to remember is not to heat the solder with the gun/iron. Heat the part, then the solder melts on it and flows much better.

Practice by stripping back a piece of wire, heat it up with your gun and touch the solder to the wire, watch how it just soaks into the wire.

 
i can solder a regular wire or something like that. but the piece for this is a huge chunk of metal. dude i got to do it said he had to use a butane torch to get it hot enough.
