Also, my buddy "sub", was at the finals and guess what?...... two other teams were there, one with 9 brahmas at 170.6db and the other with 9 power hx-2's at 172db...

I guess that fosgate is still better than brahma's.....when you matche'm in the same class.

I never disputed the fact that HX2's were louder than Brahma's. Seeing as how I run SQ, that doesn't really bother me.

rf may be a lil on the highside when it comes to price but with a rep like they have they can afford to do so i mean if they were so bad as a company they would of went out of the biz a long time ago,a name alone cant keep you in the biz if you sell bad products

No one's saying they're a bad company, just that there are better pure SPL drivers out there.

DUDE, your still talking without a sytem......, but you sure make up for it with your mouth.

Mark, I'm not trying to down brahma's, you know I've suggested them before and I'm sure you and countless others are very happy with them. As far as sounding loud, I know they hung right in there with fosgates, so they have to be good.

My only gripe is you guys constantly bad mouthing fosgates for no apparent reason, other than getting a laugh on someone elses thread, when their looking for information.

I believe a couple other guys just threw in negative comments as well, but never really answered the kids questions...."that's all".

Well, that's a matter of opinion, I agree that there are many good subs out there and probably cost less than fosgates. There are also some that cost much more and have never proven themselves in the circuit. The //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif people put out for a fosgate sub is for a proven car audio sub in the circuit......and once you've beaten everyone, you don't have to prove yourself again. Rockford is an established name in the car audio industry, and other companies always compare their subs to fosgate as "as good as" or "better" than fosgate and that may be true........now go prove it in the circuit! Rockford has already been there, done that......."THE STANDARD WAS SET A LONG TIME AGO."

Yes, they did prove themselves many times, however, it seems that as other manufacturers progress in the market, RF is taking some steps behind, not only in subwoofers, but amplifiers as well. Ramos and several others can attest to that. Older RF models are far better. Even Wonderbread's ugly Power DVC is louder than the newer models I've heard.
