Power HX2's owners , I got some questions

1. how many power hx2s do you have?

2. what size, 10,12,15?

3. what size box do you have them in?

4. how much rms u feeding them? also what amp or amps do u have?

5. are you please with them?

im just wonder what other owners of these subs got going on with there setup.

What my wife currently has, soon to be replaced with the bigger and better....

1. 2

2. 12"

3. 1.2cu.ft / sub sealed, also a 2.5 cu.ft./ sub ported, tuned to 25 hz (2002 GAGT)

4. 1000bd on each.

5. She(and I) cant wait to get rid of them.

steve's right, im not sure what size my box is, but tis sealed, and its seeing about 20 watts...

(oh, and its the older model not teh Hx2, the Power DVC

its decently loud (;louidest i've heard with 200 watts....) and sound s like ***... partly atributed to teh leak in my box, lol.

but i strapped a JBL 1200.1 onto it, 1200 watts into a 2 ohm load nad it was teh ooudest single sub i ahve heard (not saying much, but meh, )

sounded like absolute *** tho...

heh, i never sed they were good, i jsut said they were LOUD, lol.

at elast teh old ones are..

the PWer DVc;s.... cant even say that the Hx2's are as loud...

What's up......

The power hx-2's are strictly for competition spl and have won many already. Obviously these guys don't care for power hx-2's, so listen to them for yourself and compare watt for watt vs other speakers in their class. This means comparing the subs against other woofers in the 1000 watt rms range. I'm sure power hx-2's will make you more than happy with the proper installation.

Face it, Rockford makes their money from ripping uneducated people off at places like Best Buy. If those people actually knew what they were buying and what they could get instead...well, I'm sure Rockford might not have a business anymore. Rockford makes money off of their solid reputation through years of performance and best buy is only an entry level car audio store, cause the average person just want better sound than their stock equipment. Rockford has been around before you ever had a thought and will be around probably after your last one.....so get used to it.

I'll admit the power hx2's are decent subs, it's just that Rockford sells alotta crap and it's expensive, overrated, bad-sounding crap.

, OK....man, I hope they sound better than they look and with those low end foam surrounds....you might be paying way to much $500 a piece for only 900-1200 watts rms. Man, you're better off with the power hx -2's or the brahma's. Check out the TRF'S competition woofer at http://www.rockfordfosgate.com and at least look at them.....click on rf results in the middle and then click on competition woofer on the right hand window.
