power hx2 question

i have a jbl 1200.1 and will powering my power hx2 in a ported box. right now, it is hooked up at 4 ohms just to "break it in". im wondering if i will be overpowering it by putting it at 1 ohm. i believe the 1 ohm power is around 1200+ watts with this amp. will that be too much?

I'd say just keep the gains down and you should be alright. It's better to have too much power and turn the gains down, than not have enough and crank the gains all the way up.

I had a power 12 hooked up to my Hercules and it did fine. A little sloppy at full gain. I suggest setting the gains about half way and tuning from there.
