wow sucks to be you. do the big 3 instead of a cap or 2nd battery. was that for a brand new alt, or did you check to see if you could get your alt re-wound?

i've called about 10 alt shops and the only quote i've gotten thus far is 1k+

What are you asking for? A 1000A alternator? Or does that price include installation?

got a quote for 650$ for a 160 amp alt installed (ohio generators)

its 350 more than the 5 farad cap
