power help please

I have a 99 mustang svt cobra and can't get enough amps!I've up graded the big 3 0gauge have a ea alternator 250a highway about 125a idel optima yellow top battery.running a dual 600 and a jl audio 1000.1/v2 with a fosgate 1 farad cap.what else can I do for power and is there anywear in central Alabama that can help?thanks in advance

get rid of that CAP/. it is doing more harm than good. Get another battery. and make sure all your connections are making solid contact.

Capacitors do nothing.

If you have a 250 amp alt and are running a 1000/1 (which is a power hog) you should have no power problems.

I ran 2 JL Audio 1000/1 in a Caddy with a stock Alt and had no problems.

I think you need to have your alt tested to see if it is working correctly.

Thanks everyone for the help so far.alt has been tested before the post first thing I done when I seen the amp drop.Didn't know a cap stood for crap.lol.will get rid of it any suggestions on a extra battery? I know 1 is not as good as the other I.e. dry cell,liquid cell,stinger, optima.thanks

I use a redtop for my vehicle and a redtop for my stereo system,from battery to battery poss t poss,..and neg t neg.I ran fro the stereo batt with an inline 150 anlfuse to a fused dist block to the rear,and t the amp/amps.No issues on my end from doing it this way.

How do you know that you aren't getting enough "amps"? What are you measuring?
