Prediction - This guys subs will be blown within two weeks of them being installed.

Ha! Please! Cant blow em If their rated @ that power bro , Y give it no more than 1700rms? That's stupid & just under powering the sub woofer which is bad (in that case get a sub that's rated around their). And I decided to put 3k on each because an xtra 200-700rms doesn't make a change to ear or meter at all & just puts more stress on sub. Plus hell yea it can take that power all day long as it clean which isn't a problem (DD-1 & CC-1), got the right enclosure, & got my power right! Only thing that's gon blow is my Windows & yea that will b b4 2 weeks!!! What's your system like?

I feel u on that but by doubling sound u will only get a few more db's and I would take one loud *** high comp sub over 2 lower rated subs. Your 2 subs will b = to my 1 sub (If not 1db louder) That's just me & I like 2 get loud!

no, two lower rated subs of the same size as your one will most likely be louder cone area my friend. Oh and btw we are not saying you can't run 3k even though if it is a psi platform 3 that is 2500rms. You can do it but not continuous, you will need to give your subs breaks and check on their heat often. Please learn better English too your wording is very bad.

Yeah I will but that's for stock Platform 3. I'm getting mines built from the motor on up so 3k shouldn't be bad long as I'm not clipping & box will compensate power.

It's supposed to, but you know that's not how most woofers are rated. I will say this though. I don't see a point of running more than 1500-2000w to a single woofer if you are playing music. The gain of any power over that limit, IMO, is minimal for the effort involved. I'd rather have cone area. Cone area is cheap loudness.

This is why I maintain rating any other way is asking for trouble. Or at least have thermal and mechanical rating as separate animals.

I like u dude but this is wrong what u hear in a song will not be as loud as a sine wave when a song is mastered a lot of bass is taken out to make the song louder without pumping and breathing

Trust me. I own a meter and can play "music" and do a 30 second average within half a db of my burp. If you're saying this I don't think you have ever experienced "music" as defined by the sort of person that thinks a single woofer can handle 3500W or that 8 10" midranges in a door sounds good.
