power/ground wire

Power wire is same as ground wire, no difference.

You want different colors to prevent accidental mix up. Mix up = smoke.

That said, I use marine wire in boats. Red for power and black for ground.

Thanks. I'm having trouble finding 20 ft of power and 20 of different color ground for a reasonable price. Where's a better place to buy this much?

Thanks guys. The prices at everywhere I've looked are good, but the **** shipping to Canada is brutal! Easily doubles all the part costs.

$80+ for two 17 ft cables makes me crazy!

Yeah , just noticed that you're canadian too. The other thing you need to watch out for is getting hit by duty when it crosses the border. I'll through my vote for Knuknoceptz, great stuff, quick shipping, and all fees are included in the shipping cost. Placed my last order on Saturday and tracking says I should receive it by the 30th. Amazing customer service too.

Yeah.....for any black wire up to 2/0 Princess Auto has great prices (welding cable).

If you can get something in the USA off ebay or wherever cheap....usually ships free within the continental US. Sometimes another member in the states will put it in an international flat rate box for ya and send it up. Takes a lil longer, but hell of a lot cheaper. Toss the middle man a couple bucks for his time, and effort and you will come out way farther ahead. I have had over 300 ft of wire sent up over the last 2 years and usually get an inbetween person.

Also check elemental designs, they sometimes have crazy sales on wire, and they include all the costs to get to you. I have had over 100 ft of 8 gauge sent up from them for cheap.

If you can, always get it shipped USPS. Canada post has te best brokerage and duty charges....usually round $5.

And with AT selling Power and Ground, Coleman has some great prices and doesn't overcharge to Canada for shipping.

Is there anything the Princess can't do?? lol.

So just to be clear, #4 welding cable will work fine for power and ground? I know, probably a dumb question, but I want to be sure. at $1.60/ft it's probably cheaper to get 40 ft of it in bulk and mark the positive cable somehow at the ends.
