Power Draw?

I was wondering how I could find how much power my head unit draws? I have built a rolling cooler stereo system and would like to determine the battery life.

It is a JVC KD-G430 and has a 20W RMS/50W Peak x 4 built in amp. It is powered by two 8Ah 12V batteries. I can't find a amperage rating on the head unit or in the paperwork.

Is there an estimate to this kind of stuff?

checking the fuse rating would be a good estimate.

I just found a tutorial online.

(RMS / PEAK) x Fuse Amperage

For me:

20 / 50 = .4

.4 x 15 = 6

Using this formula it says I am pulling 6A constant. With 16Ah available, I will have a little over 2.5 hours of battery life. Does this seem accurate?
