If you can make w3s live on 1k you won't have a issue with those on 5k if the electrical is stout
Well I plan on prob a mechman 320A alt with 2-3 Kinetik HC2000s. Should do the trick. And by 1k I mean 500w/each not 1k/each lol. I "blew" my first w3 I got, I guess it would be called blowing it, I dunno, basically played 20Hz bass a lot. Later found out when I played 20Hz on my max volume it caused my subs to bottom out and it would "tap" the back-plate. When I cut the sub open, the VC had detached from the cone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/slap.gif.87520e8ca8e90076ac30e777c0de5331.gif

Just get the alt first, do the big 3 and see what happens. It's going to drop at idle, you can't stop that. If it goes to far down and don't come up fast than start with a front battery. No need to waste money if you don't have to. My batteries in the rear where not needed

Well I already have 1 HC2000, getting one more is only gonna set me back about $280. I planned on getting a Alarm, then Upping the Electrical, then getting new speakers and their amps, then finally getting the subs and amps for them.

I think I'm gonna run 2 1/0 Knu Konceptz Kollosus Fleks from the front to back bank. Also the big 3 obviously.

I WAS worried about putting 5k to them, but I have seen people run 3-4k each daily. I'm currently running 2 JL W3v3 12s one 1kw total, so this is a big step up. I just love bass, and I want a lot more. I do appreciate the help guys.
Get the 5k and wire to 1 ohm. It will not send them 5k all day. After voltage drop and impedance rise, they will see a lot less. Head room on your amp is also good. Subs can take more clean power than dirty clipped signal.

If you want to spend less money, look into Banda and Taramps. I have a Banda 7000, and voltage drop is almost non-existent. I only have a 320 amp alternator and one XS D3100.
