Power Acoustik?

After some tutoring from Somebody on this site... I have decided to go with a class D amp for my 2 12'' Kicker Solo Baric L7's...they are 4 ohm DVC and I'd like to run them at 1 ohm...I do not have the proper funds right now for a 5 or 6 hundred dollar amp and I found a Power Acoustik A3000DB amp for a little over 300 with a warranty...it puts out 2300 watts RMS @ 1 Ohm and 3000 watts Max @ 1 ohm....the kickers are rated at 750 Watts RMS each and 1500 watts Max a piece....I know the amp would provide a sufficient amount of power to the Subs...but the question I ask is...are Power Acoustik's any good? Anyone ever have any bad or good experience's with them?

i've NEVER heard of anyone having any trouble with them.. they are a BIT overrated... but probably does 2000@1 ohm or so...

I use a PA A2400DB and it does just fine with my eclipse Ti, Steve used to have one as well and I know some others use the 3000DB. They are nice bang for the buck amps.

used one on a pair of CVR's at 2ohm, giving each ~900 and was pretty darn loud. been said that it's overrated but prolly not ALOT. maybe expect 2kw at 1ohm maybe even full power with proper elec system.

My A2400DB was a solid amp - no complaints at all actually.

There have been a variety of bench test results posted on the SoundDomain forums in the past for the A3000DB.

I was actually looking into Hifonics because I like them better...but the 2 amps I was looking at...I did not see anything that said they have 3 or 4 Way protection on either of the three sites I looked at them...and I'd like to have that assurance...

that thing hits pretty hard...and it doesn't even get hot....

try the Big 3 then bigger alt/batt combo.

It does pretty well ....

I have the a3000db on 3 10" l7's. Pushes them great. It fried 3 days after I had it. I believe another guy or 2 on here have had the same problem. I sent it back and 2 weeks later had a brand new one in the mail. Its been fine ever since.
