Power acoustik sub and which amp to use

Im going to be getting a power acoustik fubar 12 subwoofer thats dual 4ohm voice coil and 800rms and 1800 peak, i need help on choosing a amp to power this i'm only going to be running one 12 for now, I was thinking of a soundstream or a power acoustik amp what kind of amp do i need for this sub and would the sub sound better in a ported or sealed box. Are you fixed on the Fubar? Because there is little info out there about that PA sub...I do believe that its power handling is actually overrated so more like 500-600rms. IMO

If that sub is what you must have, what is your budget for an amplifier?

I'm not really set on that sub but i am looking for a good 12" sub and a good amp prob want to spend up to 200-250 on a amp..

Well are you looking for SQ or SPL...or maybe a mix of both?

I want a mix of both, i was thinking of getting the alpine type r's but i heard that most of the PA's sound good, just stuck on what to get

Well you would be better off with the Type-Rs IMO
