Power acoustik razor 2500 w 1 channel amp

I just purchased the Power Acoustik RZR 2500 watt one channel amp when I hook my base knob up it will cut my subwoofers out but when I unplug it they come back on what is causing this and how it fix it thanks in advance for the help

If it happens at any volume level, then the knob or the cable for the knob is bad.
