Power Acoustik PS2-1250 will only go into protect.

Well, first off Id like to introduce myself to you guys.

Im Nick, I have many hobbies car audio being one of the biggest. I usually don't have problems like this, so Ive never joined and audio forum.

But anyway, I got a Power Acoustik PS2-1250 off a buddy of mine for free.

In his car with good wiring, we took his old amp out and threw this one in. Everytime we would turn it on it would go into protect.

Now I had the remote in my hand when it was on accidentally touched a speaker terminal, and i had a green light.

Now when i took the RCAs out it went out like i took the ground away, but I checked my ground and it was fine, like i said the other 760w WalMart pioneer works perfect.

The only thing i know about the history of this amp is that the guy had it before was pushing 3 12's with it.

Honestly i think he just blew it up.

Im baffled by this amp, i have no clue what to do.

Im mean im at no loss if i cant get it to work but i mean if so free amp.

Any help is appreciated.

**Edit:

I even hooked it up in my house with my homemade 12v tester and it sends the PSU into protect everytime i hook it up (rem, power,gnd).
