Power Acoustik Mofo's

Hi everyone I am new to the forum here. I have a few questions about my subs. I will get some pictures up as soon as I am able to. I have the old school power acoustik mofo 10's. I haven't had any luck finding any specs on them. All of the information I have been able to find is for the junk newer model ones since they have sold out like most other mainstream companies.

So my main questions are what size motor do they have and is the motor worth trying to upgrade or should I start with new ones? I do know they are pretty beefy for 10's I think they weigh somewhere around 40 pounds a piece. My next question is, is there any way for me to get specs to build a proper box and what box would sound best? They are currently in a ported box but I don't think the box was designed correctly because they bottom out in the sense of box design more than sub capacity. They seem to miss a lot of notes. I like deep chest rattling bass so I'm thinking I should stick with a ported box? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and I look forward to getting to know you all.
