I've run 5500's for years and they are great amps for the price. You get a clean 2200-2400 rms @ 1ohm for like $200. I've run Sundown, DD, SoundStream, Memphis, Stetsom, many Maxxonics, JBL, Rockford, etc... you name it, I've probably run it at some point. Point being, I've pretty much only run PA for the last couple years. Hard to justify spending 2-3 times the money for the same power but a different name.

if you planning to resell, the rubicon probably will keep its value more than the bamf 5500 since the rubicon has a better brand name but either will work

I understand that part ... Just not the part how the only Diff u get between dd and Sa amps compared too pa and hifonics is the name that's a crock of shitt

Someone asked a question, I gave an answer and he brought his uneducated, smart *** opinion in here for no reason. He easily could have searched BEFORE making a comment and adding to the stereotype that you have to pay out the *** to get decent power. Yes, you can spend $250k+ on a Lamborghini that will run a 10 second 1/4 mile. However, if that's all you're looking for, and not an "image", why not spend $10k~ for a car that will do the same thing? My budget setup beat a $4K~ JL setup by like 2.5dB, did it sound as good, not in my opinion. However, I was louder and the audible difference to the average person isn't nearly enough to justify an additional $3500~

yes. i like the bamf5500's IMO, i have used them a few times. i had one hooked up while my bc3500 was getting fixed. ive seen 2500 clamped out one and it was clean. its been a while however and no most people are going to say prove it but take it how you will.....

and OP honestly, if you looking for a good 2000 rms amp, get a DB Drive PD2000.1 rated 2k @ 1ohm, but actually will do 2500 RMS @ 1 ohm and 3k plus @ .5ohm.
