All power acoustik amps are rebranded low end Soundstream amps, like the Picasso series

My pa amps arent that bad, I know they do nothing around rated power and my btls need more, but they bump for the price i paid for them. I am upgrading to real amps later though. I run them at 2ohm also, I have gone full tilt for about 10 min and never had one get hot. They also don't like voltage drop i have heard.

SO you think the POWER ACOUSTIK OV1-5500D does close to its rated 2500rms @ 2ohms?

Im in the market possibly for a 2ohm amp later if I cant hold up with my visonik, and this fits the cheap bill, I need atleast 2200@2ohm

You can get around 2000 out of it @ 2ohm. Probably not much more. My subs are wired to around 1.34 ohms, with box rise probably seeing 2ohm to 2.5 ohm. Each sub can take a max of 300 x 6 subs. The way I have it wired if I turn it up all the way and bump on it to long I get the good ol smell coming from it. So it is doing at least 1800 to 2000 watts at this load. For the money it is a **** good amp.

Stfu, you haven't tested shit. Not trying to market it as the best amp *******, but for the price it is outstanding

im using an a3000db to power 3 10" l7's and its good enough for me. Then again ive got more important things to spend my money on than this stuff so im not too picky.

Anyways I bought one brand new about 3 years ago now. Installed it and had it goin for about a week. Mysteriously the amp blew along with one of the l7's. I got them replaced under warranty and havent had any more issues.

i have a 1200d power acoustik amp pushing 2 10l7 d4s. the subs hit quite hard but as said, you dont get the rated power, i have yet to test it but i know those subs can do better

Well since to my knowledge, no one has done any "real" tests. I dont have the slightest, I can speculate and thats about it.

This setup with 4 15" Kickers did a 153.6 @ 40hz. With two Power Acoustik OV1-5500d's.
