Power Acoustik Anyone?

Just looking at doing a new system sometime in the next month or so. I saw this amp and was wondering how well they are put together. Do they do the rated power?

Im not sure what subs I'm gonna get but I want to find the amp first then I'll find the best subs for the amp.

I also have 2 hifonics bxi1600 i might use. How would Power Acoustik compare with hifonics.

I have the big 3 upgrade w/ 1/0awg and 1/0 going to the amp if that helps

i figured theyre overrated but i was wondering if anyone has ran them and how far overrated they r.

its a BAMF and so am I so it'd be a perfect fit

Pa is a decent brand. But, They are rated on 16v as far as I know. Expect about half of the rated RMS. Maybe a little more.

From what I have heard the hifonics brand is a good budget amp brand.

No, they are rated at 2,300 wRMS @ 1ohm.

its been posted alot here that the PA / Kole 5500 will actually put out a little over 2K @ 1 ohm

real world conditions. so if you want a little more than 2K rms to play with.

go for it.

what I want to know is = do they run hot ? cool ? warm ? do they sound musical or do they just produce tones like the crunch line does.

( I know all amps produce tones, but amps like crunch to me lack alot in the sq department - just wondering if the PA / Kole amps fall in that catagory also )

One very simple thing to take into consideration is the fuse size on the amp.

It has 3x40's. That is in line with most "quality" amps that produce 1200-1500w.

Based on that alone it is highly unlikely the bamf40001 will do more than 1400-1500w.

That being said, 1400w for $220 or so would be a pretty good deal by most people's standards, but there's no telling how long it will last.

There have been pix posted of the 20001d and it's a pretty clean looking layout.

POWER ACOUSTIK OV1-5500D is a great amp. Either people have never used it or they are talking out their ***. They do great power. I have a friend doing a 153 with 2 of these. I am currently using one also and have great results. I would say they do rated or **** near. For the price they are unbeatable either way.
