Are Power Acoustik amps good power and do their watts be clean power? PPL tell me their good to use and they are excellent budget amps. they would not be as powerful as Rockford Fosgate, Memphis, Crossfire and other high end brands, but they get the job done quite well and they are true on their wattage. Can anyone advise me? thanx for any replies.

I'm actually going to vote Power Acoustik > Hifonics here.

Power Acoustic a3000db claims 2300 @1ohm, in reality it does about 2000 @ 1ohm

Hifonics BXi2006 claims 2000 @1ohm and more than likely pushes 1900 @1ohm.

Granted the Hifonics does closer to rated power, for the same price you can get the a3000db.

I've owned both, my Hifonics blew up in 5 months. PA3000db going strong after 8 months.

Please post up how you got those fabolous numbers. Don't tell me that you did a bech test with "NO EQUIPMENT." don't play the guessing game with an online forum. that 3000db has been noted to doing around 1400-1600 w. Also, your Hifonics could have blown up due to "Operator Error," amps normally don't just blow unless you wired them wrong, or run them at unstable levels.

LOL! I'm literally laughing at this post right now. Did you see ANYWHERE in my post where I said that I benched them myself? There has been a bench of the a3000db on HERE somewhere. It put out like 1967 or some numebr like that @1ohm. There was a bench of a 1600D (1606d, the '06 model) on ROE that did like 1497, I was nice and rounded up for the bxi2006. The hifonics had nothing to do with "operator error", it was a pair of 3004spls wired to 1ohm (TESTED ohm load before hooking up) with the gains and bass boost on VERY conservative levels.

Like I said, I casted my vote on PERSONAL opinion as I've dealt with both. How many power acoustic amps have you owned? Back the **** off unless you've used both, pointless to post if you havent.
