ok so here is the deal, by christmas time i will have 2 alpine type s subwoofers in my car along with a 2 channel power acoustik amp. I had never set the gains or tuned the amp when i initially set it up, so i asked the guy at best buy which frequency i should set the gains on. he informed me 55-75 Hz would be best.
So i went to my amp when i got home and saw that on my amp there are two different sections that have to do with the gains, lpf and rpf. rpf has a scale of 50 Hz to 500 Hz, and lpf has a scale of 30 Hz to 500 Hz. They are controlled by twistable screws and there are no numbers in between both maximum ends.
what i would like to know is should both the lpf and rpf be set at the same gains? also..does 55-75 seem a little low for a scale that has a maximum of 500? I am a little confused on what to do, so help would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any other questions about the setup just ask.
