someone just offered me a Orion 2500D for $300 plus shipping, in perfect working condition

should i take this instead of the PA? Also im trying to get by with what i can, aka a 105 amp alt, ive heard orions kill electricals

at 1ohm you should be fine, its a toss up, basically your choice some say the orion does WAY more power, some say the 3000db holds its own, the only true way to find out is to try it yourself an see what you like.

Id get the orion...But the Orion does not work well off a stock electrical. I would get it and try it..Hell you could always sell it for more then that to someone else and get the pa if you want it.

now i can set my amps gain with my remote gain in mind and be like steve meade and just jack the remote gain and freak people out instead of it being via bass boost, which is totally useless and just distorts shit

Buddy just got his 3000DB last week. Was using his old Profile Cali 800w as a temp amp from an old setup to power his new pair of MA Audio HK15X2's. The Profile barely even moved the subs at all. But when he hooked that 3000db up to them, they lit up and banged harder than we both expected. He's had to problems to far with the amp, it throws out gobs of power. I'm about to bag one or two for my next setup as well. Outstanding amp for the price. I beilive he got his for 280 shipped.

pretty sure it's actually remote bass boost.

when i had the soundstream pic1.1700d (same board as pa d-class series, i think) it was a remote bass boost.

now i have the pa a3000db and i never even bothered trying the knob, because i assumed it was the same.
