Power Acoustik 3000D .5 stable?

I've got four L7 12's that are apparently going on a single PA 3000D, and I need to know if they are going to cause this amp to cry like a little b1tch or if it can handle them like a man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I had planned and set up to have a second PA 3000d but I guess you cant trust a kid to make an adult decision and go through with a trade or whatever but hey thats another day I guess.

So, since I cant get another amp, and I dont want to run this @ 2 ohm for the show, can I drop it down to .5? And if I cant will adequate protection circuitry on the amp keep it from going up in magic smoke??

I wouldn't trust it. Not many "mainstream" amps are 0.5 ohm stable anyway. Just keep it at 2 ohms unless you can afford to fix your amp or buy a new one.

lol yeah i hear ya, my two 2500d's run like champs @ .5 but thats a well known fact. This amp is definately up in the air... I may give it a try but eeeeeek

my mtx's live easy at .5 each daily wouldnt do it with the PA tho

I had a thread going here about this amp a while back, I was gonna get one. I was told thy drop .7ohm thats about it....

We have several running at .5. They have yet to give us any issues.

good, some real world test results... i'll be having two yellow tops on this one amp, well my buddy will be. I assume that should be enough juice to supply that one amp.
