Anyone have experience with this amp? Found a couple 4-channels that I may buy one of. BAMF 1600/4 is one, the 1600/4 stax is the other. Any info would help, planning on powering 2 sets of focal 6.5's with them.

Why on earth would you pay for high end components, and then power them with Power Acoustik amplifiers?

Find out what the fuses are on the amp... that will tell u more about its power capability than the ratings

For example I have a Cadence TXA3004... claims 150x4 RMS @ 2 ohms, but only has a total of 50A in fuses. 50x14.4 = 720W, I'm guessing any squirts beyond that will blow a fuse

Not bad for $100 I guess but nothing really crazy either.

In any case I have had PA amps in the past... I would call them more lower-end, like a Lanzar Vibe or Sony Xplod. I think u can do better for the $$$ esp if u buy used.
