Power Acoustic 1600 or JBL bp1200?

How do these amps stack up? Is the PA rated legitimately on the output? I *know* the JBL bp1200.1 puts out a little more than it's actual RMS rating at 14.4V. Which is the better bang-for-the-buck and should the amps even be compared?

No they shouldn't. The JBL is far better. I had the SPL 1600watt amp (made by Power Aucstik) and it only gave 740watts RMS at 4-ohms. It was ok but too big and bulky for such little power.

Take note spl is by far there worst series. There class d series and there e-pulse series do qutie well.

From what I've read about the JBL amp I know it's got a pretty big following and is supposed to be pretty good. The PowerAcoustic is also a good preformer. You should be alright with either amp.

Go for the PA 2100d for the comparison and not the spl1600....

The 2100d puts out a good 1800watts rms but was kinda squirrely in its first generation. They should have solved that however by now.
