This is an example of another poor kid whos life will absolutley be ruined because of our unjust criminalization of cannabis. If you smoke you know that your not ****ing high at all for 2 ****ing weeks. We need to reform laws for this type of situation. Im not taking away from the fact that he killed people. All in all it was an ACCIDENT and that should be dealt with but not for intoxication reasons.
This hits home, last week I got in a car accident while working, Im a courier, and I failed my test for THC. It was a little fender bender. I have NEVER smoked before work or anything like that but everything in my life got turned upside down, just because I had metabolites in my ****ing system.

And what a ****ing terrible title. "Pothead driver..." Pothead you arogant ****? He smoked once....

There is one thing about this accident that doesnt make any sense to me.

He was going 66 mph

He Ran a Stop sign

Gardner's vehicle had struck the passenger side of his 2002 Dodge Stratus.

Yet somehow the car that didnt run the stop sign that was maybe going 5-10 mph managed to strike the side of his car and somehow the woman driving the car going 5-10 mph died... if what they say happened she should only have received minor injuries and had minor damage to the front of her car as it would have been more of a glancing blow...

Nothing about this accident makes sense, and on top of that, the kid doesnt even have his own side to the story... I'm gonna bet that Gardner was going a lot faster than they say she was and probably didnt exactly stop for the stop sign herself... but oh well, another 5 lives are tragically over... yeah i said 5, this kid is never gonna be able to have a normal life.

But yeah, everything you read on the internet is true... I'm sure you not having any firsthand experience with the drug makes you know a whole shit ton about it. Fact of the matter remains that there is no possibility whatsoever that the outcome of this accident was affected by this man smoking pot 2 weeks prior. Regardless if there were trace amounts in his system or not. Sad story.
