Possible Wiring Issue?

I got some ID ctx65's a while back, and I just now got a chance to throw them in my car. I did a bunch of work modifying my door panels to make room for the tweeters, I bought a Rockford Fosgate wiring kit just cause I got it for cheap, ran that, made some baffles to make the actual depth of my new speakers fit properly, and tried out the right side speakers to see that all the wiring was ran correct. At first they seemed to be working fine, but I keep getting a crackling sound in them from time to time. Sometimes it subsides, and then soon enough, it'll return. Also my rear 6x9's which I never had a problem with started doing the same thing. None of the cones have rips or tears in them, even though I think that would deliver a different error sound, and I'm assuming since I am getting music coming through them, that the signal cables are sending signal, and the power is getting where it needs to be. I just can't think of why I would get this sound. Anyone able to help?

I think my fronts stage might be doing alright now. I played with the head unit ground which could have possibly been the cause, but the rears are still terrible. They're all stock with the same stock wiring.

I hear ya. Its just crazy that my 98 civic with 12 year old wiring would just go bad at the same time I go to put in a new front stage in. These issues just get super annoying.

yeah, your right. That doesn't make scene. I would start with the connections off the deck to the stock wiring and TS from there.

Ok so I wired from the amp thats going to be running the front stage, to the rear 6x9's. In light of that, there isn't any crackling. Now I don't know if I'm bypassing the problem of a connection by doing it this way, or if it is in fact the wiring. I was shaking the harness a little to try and see if it was the connection, but I didn't get any response from it as far as clearing up and then back to cracking as I moved it; not that its a "for sure" test, but I would bet you were right with the wiring. Now I just have to run that much more wire.

sometimes from what i ahve seen when you make a baffel the actual terminal on the speaker will rub agenst the metal door panel making the spk gnd and cause static. mabye the issue, i have seen this a couple times not to often though. i had an employee of mine pull his hair out on a silverado rear 4x6 that would slightly rub the medal and would cause static in the whole system. also, make sure you are using the proper connectors onthe deck and the speaker wires are not rubbing any where, they cant touch anything or u will have static. what i think the other poster was trying to say was check and make surethe speaker wiring isnt grounding, not the gnd for the radio.

I didn't think he was referencing the head unit ground, I just pulled the HU out and found that ground was pretty bad, so I fixed it. Since then, I haven't heard any static in the front stage. I did however think the rears were fixed by new wiring from when I ran the rears off the amp'd set up. After inferring this, I ran speaker wire for the rears as well and just ran them to the head unit, but then I got static again. I'm going to try another 6x9 next chance I get, but it would just be crazy if I blew my rear stage the same time I throw in a front stage. This shit is just making me pull my hair out.

Ok, so made the decision to start from ground zero with all the wiring; including the wiring harness. As I pulled the head unit out, I gave it one last quick check for a loose wire. In doing so, I discovered that when I have the head unit faded to only the rear speakers, they sound fine, telling me they're not blown. However if I fade them to the center, they get pretty slappy or distorted. Does this implicate maybe a bad head unit? Or is it maybe the way I wired my new front stage thats some how affecting the rears?

This had a lot of time wasted. I appreciate the help. The first post nailed it, it was just a matter of realizing it. I was definitely grounding out from cutting the factory speaker wire.
