Possible voltage problem?

I dont know if you would consider this a voltage issue or not, so you tell me. Im thinking it has something to do with my ECM telling my computer that the batteries are charged enough but I dont know.

Mainly wanting to know if the resting voltage at idle is normal ie 14.2v and only 4.6amps of current flowing through the alt is ok.... All my other alts used to rest right at 14.6-14.7 all day long

your batt rests low with the car off.. thats why.. my batt with car off rests at 12.8-13.1...

12.5 with the speakers up a decent amount for a while..

All due to alt not charging them optimaly correct? They are brand new batteries and Im still waiting on my duals to be fabbed up and my module to come so I'd imaging that would help.

have the batt tested for free... i had a new one that did that..

Most factory alts I have seen put out anywhere from 14.2v to 14.6v cold and 13.2v to 13.8 warm. If you have a load or cold engine, you should expect somewhere near 14.4v. I would say that your 14.2v is perfectly fine. You might be able to install an MLA adapter in your vehicle to increase the voltage.
