Right now I have a Sony CDX-M750 that I bought in 2002. Until recently, it's been great. It looks spectacular with the display folded shut with the full-screen display on the outside, which is the main reason that I bought it. There's photos of it here.

Its functionality is primitive by today's standards (no MP3 support, no bluetooth, iPod, etc) but it sounds pretty good on factory speakers. Lately I've been having problems with it. The single button on the corner of the outside screen (to open it) works, but once open, no buttons on the inside will work. The only way to turn the unit on is by ejecting and re-inserting the CD, at which point I can use the remote to control the unit and turn it off. This happened intermittently over the past couple of weeks, and now seems permanent. Since I haven't seen this available used anywhere, I'd really like to have it repaired if at all feasible, if anyone could recommend someone who does this service at a fair price.
Barring that, could anyone recommend a suitable replacement? It's going in an '89 S-10 Blazer miles but I would like a single DIN unit so that I can easily put it in another vehicle when the time comes to replace mine (at 239,500 miles it's still moving strong but I know it won't be forever). My requirements are fairly simple. It must perform and sound at least as good as this one, must look very visually impressive with a large display (preferably something similar in style to this), and have a wireless remote control, preferably a small one that fits in a cupholder, and of course not break the bank (I don't know exactly how much I'd want to spend until I get a few ideas so I don't have a better starting point than that). I might be better off with a DVD player but I know that they're a fortune for anything of reasonable quality. I'm not an audiophile so I don't need the absolute best in sound quality. An external amp and better speakers are a possibility at some point but for now I'd be using the same setup. I'd buy used to have a better unit than a comparably priced new model if I could be assured somehow that I wasn't buying a lemon.
I appreciate any help at all, this seems to be happening at the worst possible time.
